I finally decided to bite the bullet and sleep train because …
We had a HORRIBLE 4 month regression, and would have started sooner but my pediatrician wanted us to wait until 6 months because Leah was tiny and gaining weight slowly!
My biggest worry about sleep training was…
Just how long it would take and eventually weaning the early morning feeding
Before sleep training my baby slept…
Maybe 2-4 hrs at a time
After sleep training my baby sleeps…
11-12 hours at night!
The actual sleep training itself was…
Not horrible. There were a couple tough days but she responded very well!
Did your attachment with your baby change after sleep training?
Do you think sleep training is healthy for baby, you, and your family?
YES! I tell all my friends it’s a MUST. Moms and dads deserve rest too.
(Picture yourself telling a close girlfriend) Sleep training is…
The best decision we made.
How would you respond to hearing, “Sleep training is selfish”?
If being a well rested mom is selfish and being happier during the day then I guess I’ll take it!
How many nights did it take for baby’s nighttime sleep to improve and how many nights did it take for baby’s naps to improve?
Night time was within a week or two, naps also. She was good on naps so it really helped eliminate those extra night wakings!
Would you recommend BST to a friend and if so, who and why?
Yes, and I already have to multiple people! For me it was one of the most direct and simple approaches to sleep training and no BS! Loved it and the schedules inside and free material available on Facebook and the blog ! Thank you so much! We recently successfully sleep trained baby #2, Tanner as well!
